I have a Theft by conversion charge (felony) could I become a Counselor in a Prison with this charge??

No, don't think so. Anyone with a felony will not be accepted for that kind of position. Do you really think they would want anyone with a felony working in the prison system, especially someone wanting to be a counsellor. In any event, you would have to have specific credentials to be a counsellor.

Good morning, thank you for your response, I am going to check with the Board here in Georgia. My father did time in Prison and he was the one who gave me the idea to try becoming a counselor, he said there were counselors with records or former drug habits, who told or spoke about there past and I'm guessing made for better Teachers because of there experience.
