I keep getting weird emails in my Yahoo email acct. These are from people, sometimes places I don't know. Like from "allow" and subject line "Lumberman's bulge" (YUCK, for one thing). Then one from "Miranda" with a subject line of "RE: UOXMY" , then maybe just someone's first and last names and then in the subject line a phrase like "Just when you knew it would be safe...." and that's it. What are these and how did they get my email address? I never open them. I empty out the "spam" box all the time. Will they ever give up? Thanks for your help. It just peaked my curiousity is all.

Just be sure to report each of these as spam. Your e-mail address has been shared/sold or who knows what. Once you are on their list you will probably stay there. It is fairly safe to open the e-mail to see if there is a "unsubscribe" option but under no circumstances should you open any attachments or pictures.

You just learned why its best to have 2 accounts:p What I do is use 2nd account for any site that I must submit a email addie for. Boy it gets loads of spam.

Even opening these kind of mails can cause problems.
Spammers are getting wise and now the message is a picture.
OPening the mail downloads the picture and lets the spammer know that thus account is live.
Your sapm load WILL increase.
The same goes if you try to Unsubscribe.

Best advice, NEVER open them, just report them as SPAM straight off.
