I have a ryobi that is about 6 years old. I replaced all the fuel lines and filter (correctly). It is still hard to start and doesn't want to run at full throttle. I have to start it, and coax it up to half throttle, then full throttle (which doesn't sound any higher). It runs only in mid choke position and I have never messed with the carb settings, and it has been in storage for a long time, but ran well before storage. Any suggestions

Give the carb a good cleaning. Good luck

Thanks, also I just read a thread where a user said to take the carb off, and at the 6 o'clock position in the carb there is a screen that may be gummed up, I will do that today.

Thanks

Spray carb cleaner and compressed air should get it running.

A friend gave me his 725r today. He only had about 1.5 hours on it and couldn't use it due the vibration. It's been sitting for a few years with no gas in it. I filled it up and it wouldn't start so I filled the carb area with PB Blaster and let it sit for about 20 minutes. About 8 or 9 pulls later it fired up. After running some fresh gas through it, it runs like new. Sounds like your carb is gummed up.
