My dog has stopped eating but is still drinking water he will take a bit here and their and he will eat people food

I am not the one to answer you but I think if you gave the breed, the age, and past eating habits of your dog it would help the people who can answer you.

Your obviously very loving giving him those table scraps, but you need to make him eat his vegatables too. What I'm mean is he is getting desert every night and he loves it. What to do:
1. Find a dog food for your dog and keep him on it.
2. Don't switch him on and off.
3. Get a plastic garbage can with a good lid and put 20 or 40 lbs in it.
4. Find a good scoop. I use a gallon Koolaid pitcher for my two. If he is an adult house dog feed him once a day in the evening(Thats what's convienent for me.)
* You can give him or her some table scraps again but only a small portion and only after they begin eating their dog food regularly. Make sure your dog is wormed or he will have the runs no matter what you do.
They will eat the dog food but it may take two or three days. Don't worry. They will be fine. Lots of water and exercise. Good luck.

Hey I find that if you give the dog a set eating time...
My dogs is,7am,12pm and 4pm (hes only a puppy that's why he gets 3meals)
And if he does not eat his dinner he has 20mins until I lift it and he does not get fed till his next meal.

My Neighbor had the same problem and it was because her dog was choosing to not eat his food because he knew he would he human food and fuss if he never (obviously they were worried about him)
He came and stayed with us for two weeks while they were away and now he's a new dog! He eats royal canine and NO tit bits or human food just Chicken for treats and training.

If you persevere, you'll find if he's hungry he'll eat :) just make sure he has enough water and exercise.
If he eats nothing at all for 3/4days take him to the vet
