My craftsman tractor gt 6000 ran great last week and went to mow this week and it will not start turns over great and is getting gas took the spark plugs out and cleaned them but they werrent really dirty don't seem to have spark anything easy to try before I have to take it to the shop?

Unscrew the plug, put the wire back on the plug and then let it sit just barely outside the threads to the plug hole. Turn over the engine, do you get spark, do you get small flame flashes?
