The pilot is on, there is power to the wall unit, but the blower does not turn on. The blower blades turn freely by hand, so the motor is not seized. The switch inside the wall unit that can be turned on in the summer to circulate the air does not turn on the blower either.
BUMPED UP QUESTION:
We have a propane wall furnace at our cottage. It worked fine last fall when we closed up. When we were up last week to open the cottage, when the propane tank was turned on, the pilot lite lit,but when the blower switch was turned on the burner lit up for a few seconds, but the blower did not turn on. I have been advised that it may be the thermal coupling.
There is also a separate switch at the bottom of the wall init that can be turned on to circulate the air in the summer time, this switch did not turn the blower on either. As I mentioned above, the fan blades on either side of the motor can be turned easily by hand, so this tells me the motor is not seized.
Appreciate any assistance before I contact a contractor to come and check it out.
Thank you kindly.
