The blade comes loose evertime I try to start it. I replaced the blade and put new install kit on it, still comes loose every time. Tightened blade with mallet, still comes loose every time. It is self propelled. All proper washers and brackets are in place. By chance should the threads be cw or ccw to tighten the blade, mine is cw and the blade turns cw. This all started when I took blade off to sharpen it the first time.:mad::eek:

This would normally occur under two circumstances; the adapter the blade attaches to is compromised (flanges flattened, cast-in pins broken off, etc.) or it was removed and the key fell out. Then reinstalled without the key (generally a # 5 woodruff.)
