Replaced fuel pump, filter, and plugs and wires. Acts like it wants to start, but then does not

Replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM). I recommend replacing ICMs every 120,000 miles or 10 years, whichever comes first. These are very problematic components. It's located inside your distributor. If you can't buy the ICM separately, you will be forced to replace the distributor.
