In October sometime between the 20th and the 28th. I had closure sex with an ex. On November 7th I had my period, wasn't spotting, and was normal and around the time I normally get my period. While on my period I started seeing this new guy, and I slept with him basically everyday for the next month. December in the first week I found out I was pregnant. Jan 31 I went to my ultrasound and was told I was 12 weeks 4 days. Due August 12. Is it possible that this is my exes baby, or was my period and the ultrasound due date all reasoning to believe it is my new boyfriends? I am pretty sure it is my new boyfriends, because we had sex so much right through my conception dates, but I mean I feel like there is still a chance it was my exes even though a week or two later I had my period. Ahh please help me. I feel terrible:(

Wait until the child is born then have a DNA test done. Only way to be sure.

Well I will def know when they are born without one. I just need to know my possibilities before then. I need to know if having my period a week or 2 after intercourse with my ex, and then the ultrasound confirming it to be my new boyfriends is correct. How faulty are 12 week ultrasounds

I will repeat, the ONLY way to be sure is with a DNA test after birth. Not sure why you think you will be sure once the child is born.

The odds are probably that its your new boyfriend's but nothing is 100%.

I do have a problem with you having sex with a new guy so quickly as well as having "closure" sex with your ex. Sex is not recreation. It is something to be shared between people in a long term committed relationship.

Given the dates involved, odds are greater that the baby is your new boyfriend's. Ultrasounds are not exact, but they are the best tool for dating a pregnancy early on.

As was said, a DNA test will let you know for sure. If you are thinking that you will know because the two men are of different races, that doesn't always show up how you might think it will.

Obviously see what happens once baby is born. Hope the rest of your pregnancy is smooth and enjoyable... :)

I am saying I will be sure because they are two totally different races, I am only looking for facts about pregnancy right now. And what the odds of being pregnant and getting my period and having the ultrasound wrong are

I wanted to know if there was anything left between us, I had feelings for this other guy for a while and was confused. Thank you but don't talk to me like I am a whore. I was with the guy for over a year. We wanted to know if there was something worth fixing. After having sex and going out we realized the love had died, and so we both went our separate ways, two weeks later I slept with my current (been together for 8 months) boyfriend. I am only looking for pregnancy advice not relationship advice thanks

And one is asian and one is very black, I will for sure be able to tell when the child is born. Lol

I'm from a German background, married to a guy with Irish-English-Scottish background. Our first child looked like a Chinese chipmunk. People thought I had adopted a baby. And I know white kids born to black parents. Genes can be funny that way. Just sayin'.

I hope your situation will be clear-cut.

It is not always as obvious as you might think. Certainly in many cases there is no question, and that very well could be the situation you will be in. However, you'd be surprised what can show up through our genetic pasts.

First it is a better chance it is the 2nd, but there is no way before the birth of the child to be 100 percent sure, sorry but the dates of sex are just too close together.

And sorry but no, even different race is hard to be sure. I have 5 sons and guess what the one that is adopted of mixed race looks more like me , than my natural born kids.

So the only way to be 100 percent is for a DNA test, your opinoin by looks even with mixed race is never completely right, can be a good guess, but with hidden traits in all of our DNA things unexpected sometimes happen anyway.

And you obviously know as little about genetics as you do about pregnancy. While the odds are you may be able tell, you cannot be certain. The child may take totally after you so you would not know for sure.

And you got pregnancy advice. But when you post on a site like this, you may not get exactly what you ask for. You open yourself for any response appropriate to your situation. You don't dictate how your questions are answered.

Here are the facts. This child could belong to your current boyfriend, but it could also be your exes child. The only way to know 100% is a DNA test after the birth. There's no way around that. There's no way for anyone to tell you with 100% accuracy who the father is.

I know you want answers, but there's no way to give you those answers.

You'll have to play the waiting game. That's the only option you have, and going by what the baby looks like won't tell you anything. Just watch Maury Povich, all the women that go on the show so sure that their babies father is a certain guy because of the way the baby looks, only to find out that he's not the father.

DNA test. That's your answer. That's the only answer.
