We had a break up and I acted stupidly as had tooooooooooo much to drink and I said some hurtful things to him ,we have talked on phone as he lives many miles from me but saw each other every few months,, he said we will have to wait and see how it goes,, and we are still talking?? And texting good texts . So my question is - does it sound like there is still hope or should I forget the relationshil (which I don't want to do !)??

Alcohol! Almost always plays a role in ending a good thing! Well I guess your just going to have to wait and see how it goes like he said.

Hopefully these hurtful comments will be soon forgotten and in the meantime you just keep being his girlfriend.

Nobody can say how it will turn out but that's like any relationship right? We never know even if it seems perfect. Just go with the flow and see how it pans out.

Why did you break up in the first place?

''We'll see how it goes'',that may be so,but for this to be sorted out it takes some real commitment to wanting to work it out.

As in meeting up and talking things through...

You are still talking so there is some hope.

Yup, you messed up and left the relationship in his hands, now wait it out and hope that your negative actions haven't destroyed something that could have been great. Let this be a lesson either way that you need to learn how to control yourself while using drugs.

Good Luck,
Javi

You can't build a relationship back without the other person's help. He is still talking to you which could either mean he actually does want to get back together with you or he just wants to have a friendship with you. Either way, if he does want to get back together in the future, then waiting it out and still trying is a good way to go. Or if he just wants a friendship, then building that friendship up now can potentially lead to y'all getting back together in the future with a friendship as well.
