Ok so basically for about a few months or so I have been thinking about dying. I mainly think about this when I am driving and think about what it would be like if I were to crash into another car head on. Honestly I don't think I could ever kill myself. I'm not really a sad person it's just that about 6 months ago I found out (on my birthday) that my grandparents were not getting along and were no longer living together. I have been thinking about it a lot and it makes me sad and angry and I guess that's why I think about crashing my car. Most of the times I am a happy person but whenever I think about my grandparents I think about dying. Should I go see someone about this or is it fine?

Talking over your feelings with your doctor will help.
Perhaps visiting your grandparents and seeing how there are, they may be coping very well. You may have build up an image in your mind about the situation that is not actually true, i.e, they are very unhappy, sad, when in fact this may have been in the pipe line for many years.
I'm not saying to pry into their business only to go visit and see how they are.

You need to speak to someone professionally about your feelings.
Of course you feel sad and upset. All family breakdowns are upsetting but at the same time you need to have a sense of perspective. No-one has died, no-one is terminally ill. People separate and divorce all the time (my parents divorced when I was 6). Its unfortunate but it happens. Your grandparents have reached the conclusion that they will be happier apart than together. Perhaps they will even get along better if they are living in separate houses. There may even be a reconciliation in the future. Who knows? Don't see it as all doom and gloom. There is always a positive to be found in every situation.
In the meantime I would speak to your doctor about your feelings. Good luck!
