View Full Version : I get paralysis during masturbatory ejaculation?

First of all I am 16 and male. A few times in the past I have experienced a strange phenomenon when masturbating, during ejaculation I suddenly freeze up and can't make a single movement until I am finished. It feels like I am paralysed all over (although I can still *feel* everything, I cannot move). This causes me to slump over my desk/bed able only to breathe heavily.
I understand that orgasms can be overwhelming, but this level is starting to become very disturbing and worrying to me. It only happened very rarely, three or four times in the past, but the last few days it has been occurring every day.
After my first orgasm of the day I usually don't have a problem with this for some reason.
I can't seem to find any similar stories online and to be honest I am starting to worry, not to mention it has diminished my enjoyment of masturbating as I am scared it will happen again (and I can feel it about to happen).
Thank you for reading my question I hope someone can help me resolve this problem!

30 people read your other thread. No one had any advice. Posting again changes nothing.
Please stop opening new threads.
I would suggest that you speak to a Physician. No one else has answered so that's the best I can do.

Have you ever had a complete physical... like you would get if you played sports? That's not normal. Being tired yes... exhausted like you describe... no. It can be taxing on the cardiovascular system. While its not likely at your age, its good to know you don't have any possibly undiagnosed heart problems.
I know its embarrassing at 16 but talk to your dad. You can't simply go to the doctor yourself at that age.

You can in NY if it's sexually-related problem. You go to a clinic, perhaps Planned Parenthood. The parents don't have to know and the law does not require that they be notified.
I have a friend who is an RN at Planned Parenthood. She has both boys and girls coming in all the time with "embarrassing" questions.

That's good to know... because the average 16 year old boy would be mortified to talk about that with EITHER parent. I know I would have been at that age.

I would have died first - had I had a "female" problem.

I think it could just be over excitement, I stopped for a few days and it has started to improve now. Maybe I was doing too much each day? (2-3 times)

I would still consult a doctor.
This is your health. If masturbating effects your health, imagine what will happen when you start having sex (please, wait a while, you're very young)?
I know it's embarrassing. We've all been there. We've all grown up having questions. Some of us were too afraid to ask for answers, and we paid for it later.
Trust me, your parents won't think anything of it. You're 16. Masturbating is a common thing at 16. These issues you're having, they're not common.
Get it checked. Most of these issues can be fixed or at least dealt with. Better to know now then wait and hope that the worst doesn't happen.
