Im told you can't have ADD and ADHD because the brainwaves in ADD are slower and you calmer. I know I have ADHD but is there any chance I could have both? It feels like I'm on and off my brain feels like it works differently on different days and sometimes I am calm but mostly hyperactive. Like switching on and off? Does anybody out there feel the same? Could there be a chance I have both? Or would it be just because?

With ADHD comorbidity (more than one condition at the same time) is the rule. Here is an easy to read article that goes into the various conditions that sometimes overlap or are mistaken for ADHD. You may find clues to your pattern here.
