I need an example of a software disaster, something like the failure of Ariane 5 Flight 501. Obviously I could just Google for one, but since that's what everyone else in my class will be doing, I'd rather ask you guys for an example of a software disaster that is a bit less obvious / well-known and perhaps more abstract.
