I have a 89 civic 1.5 replaced headgasket,new dizzy,fuel pump,throttle body,fuel pump relay,wires plugs cap rotor the problem is it idles fine but when you rev it up it boggs and stalls checked plugs there wet not a gas or oil smell and is running very rich... timing is perfect dead on the money any answers would help me sleep good thanks !

I suspect the distributor. Over 50% of new aftermarket distributors for Hondas don't work at AMHD. The remaining are unreliable and problematic. I only recommend genuine Honda distributor housings, where it's fine to install an aftermarket ICM and coil to keep the cost down.

I replaced with 4 different distributors any other ideas? Thanks

Thoughts:

. Check/replace the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor, which has two wires going to it. It's likely located below the distributor.

. Check each cylinder's compression.
