I have been suffering form acid reflux for the LONGEST time! My quinceaƱera is in 27 days and I need to do something about this NOW! Every time I go to a party I end up needing to lay down because that's the only way I get rid of the acid. I can't be feeling bad on MY night. Any suggestions?

You are very young to have this much difficulty with acid reflux. Ask your parents to take you to the doctor and get a prescriptin to relieve it. Acid reflux can erode your esophogus over time so you need to get it under control.

Eating a healthy diet and, if you are overweight, taking off some weight in a sensible way can both help in addition to a good medication. Avoid food that is fried or fatty especially. Some people are sensitive to spicey food too, hard to avoid if you are from a hispanic culture. Eat plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit. Also pay attention if there are particular things that bother you more than others - my friend had similar complaints and ultimately figured out that if she skippep carbonated drinks, she was fine. Another friend had problems and learned she was lactose intolerant.

But you really need to see a doctor if this is such a problem you're worried about being sick weeks into the future -that's out of control.
