I am on the sex offender registry. I have a child with the girl that was the "victim". He is now four. I have never seen him. I have not been around her since the crime. I was sentenced and served four years. I now have 5 on probation. I have a fiancé now and we just had a baby, Can I be around him. She can't work and I have to take care of my family. I'm just trying to get my life back on track! Help!

There are different levels of sex offenders and each state has its own way of dealing with them.. In any case, you need to discuss this with your PO. I can't imagine they'll say no, but if that happens, report back and I'll tell you what to do.

Just to be sure we are all on the same page, which child are you asking about, the 4 year-old or your child with your "fiance"? I presume, because the title of this thread says "newborn", that you are talking about the latter.

If I were your PO, I wouldn't want you being around the victim of the crime for which you were convicted, or her son.
