I recently purchased a hampton bay fan/light and a wireless remote. I have an older home so the dual switch it came with (dimmer/fan speed switch) would not work without running a separate wire to separate the two. I was told I could help bypass the wiring issue by adding this piece which is installed. Now when I turn on the lights they flicker. The fan comes on fine but the lights flicker regardless. Now I have ruled out the Light Kit it self by wiring the light alone straight to the power and it works fine. I have wired the fan with light to the hot so the swtich turns on both and they are fine. They are the bulbs it came with 25w cadesent bulbs. Obviously it seems to be in the receiver, but I returned and purchased a second one and get the same problem, so I'm stumped anyone have clues?

I agree that using the remote instead of the wall switch is the correct method to avoid running more wire. Two thoughts come to mind: could be vibration related so tell us if the bulbs flicker even if the fan is not running. Second thought is to recheck your connection between the fans white wire and the receivers white wire as well a the fans blue wire and receivers blue wire. Make sure all connections are tiht and test the voltage going into and out of the receiver.
