I was cleaning out an old computer and I think I accidentally deleted my soundcard drivers. It said they were all corrupted, so I uninstalled them, and downloaded the drivers from the Gateway website and I tried some Realtek ones, but none of them work. My soundcard in the device manager is called "Multimedia Audio Controller". Nothing seems to recognize it, and even Windows doesn't pick it up.
(Its an integrated soundcard)
Motherboard: ECS 945GCT-NM
Model: Gateway GT5634H
Driver: Realtek High Definition Audio Driver R1.71

Uninstall the drivers first, uninstall the device from the device manager. Reboot. If not recognized and the drivers aren't installed properly, then uninstall again from device manager, and install the drivers again and reboot.

If you are still having problems, then you might have to look into getting a driver cleaner which will completely remove the drivers. Otherwise it could be a hardware failure.

@FadedMaster
I Did all of that first off, and I had already tried the drivers on the support site. I have a few reasons to not believe it is hardware
1. This computer was being used up until the time It stopped working, with perfect sound quality.
2. It was working the first time I used it.
3. It only happened after the drivers said they were corrupted.
Still nothing has worked yet.

Try to do a system restore to the poing right before you deleted the drivers

Okay, which driver cleaner did you use? Sometimes when they get corrupted the uninstall does not work, even through device manager, and this can prevent the re-install of the drivers from also working properly. Also make sure to run the driver cleaner in safe mode (usually yields the best results).
I know you tried to install the drivers from the website, just wasn't sure that you had uninstalled the device via device manager before attempting a re-install.
Another thing you could check is in the Bios (aka Setup). You can access this usually by pressing Delete or F2 when the computer is starting up. You might see a message somewhere that says to press that button to enter setup or to enter the Bios. Look for an area to adjust the onboard devices and there should be an option to enable/disable the onboard audio. I doubt this is the problem as the computer is recognizing the audio device and you never said you changed anything in the Bios, but it is worth a look.
I'll also add that hardware can fail spontaneously and failed hardware can cause issues. If a computer is not getting the expected return commands from the hardware, the operating system may assume that the drivers are corrupted because not everything jives. Let's hope it's not hardware, but we cannot eliminate hardware until all software problems are eliminated.
