Yes its normal, you just skipped a period so it seems. All women will get an off month were they're periods can go a little funny. Even the most regular cycles can go a bit off.

Your age could be a factor as well.

Well now I'm having really bad cramping and my period don't look normal it looks like blood clots and tissue coming out. @ilovemyhamster thanks yeah it did cross my mind I haven't taken a test yet. Can I be having a miscarriage?

I'm only 23 and got 2 kids. And when I had my daughter 3 years ago they said if I get pregnant again I would be putting my life at risk.

It's possible you are having a miscarriage. It's possible it is just a heavier period since you skipped one. Is there a specific reason your doctor feels you would be at risk to become pregnant again? Did they suggest any sort of more permanent form of birth control to prevent an unplanned pregnancy?

If you are concerned, you could always either call your doctor, go to an urgent care center, or to the ER (not unless you feel it is an actual emergency).
