I am 13 years old. My mom and my uncle have ADHD. ( if you really need to know, my uncle is my moms brother) and I think I have ADHD. I am very forgetful. I constantly leave stuff places, and I am a slow learner. I can grasp some things but I sometimes need help. I really need help too. My mom talked to me about it before, but then she never talked about it again. How do I tell her to do something about it. Its become really bad in the past like 6 months to a year. I am sick of being like this. Plus, my best friend has ADHD and we were exactly alike before she started to take medicine. PLEASE HELP!

You'll have to bring the subject up to your mother. What does your school say? Has the school evaluated you?

Reply to JudyKayTee: I haven't been evaluated yet. I have brought it up to my mom, but she says she doesn't know what to do. I told her to call the doctor or whatever and she said she will and she won't.

I read on your other post that you are aggressive when dealing with your mother - https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/children/lie-steal-573701.html#post2791783.

Is this part of the problem when you talk to her?

Can YOU ask the school to test you or does that have to come from a parent?

I Was in the same same situation just 2 months ago . I Felt Like I Could turn to nobody . I Had had enough of living my life like that so I went to my guidance teacher at school and he phoned my mum . Everybody was so understanding and I Had a test done . I Am Now diagnosed with ADHD And it feels like the world has been lifted from my shoulders ! Just go for it , tell a teacher at your school like I Done , Its Hard to find the ourage to do it , but once you do its honestly worth it ! Hope this helped :)
