I have been working with a debt consolidation company and they told me to deny everything to buy time to try to work with the creditor. I feel like that is lying to the courts. My daughter and her husband lost their jobs in 2008 and they have been struggling to find enough work and I tried helping by letting them use the credit card. I can't help them anymore due to my own finances now. How do I answer this summons? I need to answer to the court and to their attorney.
Thank you

Many debt consolidation companies are leaches.

You HAVE to provide the required information once you have a court summons issued by the court.

Ignore the court date and the court will give the credit card company everything they are asking for in a default judgement, You are always better off fighting them because there may be a settlement for a lesser amount. And if you don't show up... they win by default.

I assume they have already been served by the court, the case is still pending and this is the discovery information?

You have to be careful acknowledging anything pre-trial. They have to prove the debt is valid and still inside the SOL.
