First off... I want to say I know I'm a lucky duck. My 10month son has slept 95% of the nights solid since he was about a month old.
However... I'm having a couple issues. From about January to first part of April he was fighting a bad respitory infection that let to RSV. I wasn't comfortable withn him sleeping in his bed/crib due to him being able to breathe right so he has been sleeping in his swing. Well.. he is 100% better now and I want him to start sleeping back in his crib cause I'm sure its better for him and a most restfull sleep. I took a little trip with my husband last weekend and my mom watched my son and I brought over the swing and she said he doesn't sleep good in it so she put him in her bed and he slept great. I'm always afraid of him sleeping withme and his dad because I move around A LOT in my sleep and just don't want anythng to happen. I had tried a couple weeks ago putting him in his crib and he just would stand up holding on to the crib rails and throw a fit. So I would put him back in the swing. I've been really trying since my mom made that comment. He use to take his bottle and drink then fall right to sleep when he was sleeping in his crib before. Well he was really tired the other day so I put him in his crib and he slept great. Did it again last night and again success. Well tonight I put him in his crib and he climbed over and fell to the floor.. thank god he wasn't hurt though so back to his swing. Is this normal crib behavior. I have the rails set to where there are the height of his armpits when he stands up and am planning to drop the height tomorrow after work. Here's another question. I have a drop side crib but do have a bumper around. I heard they aren't being sold anymore but heard they aren't illigal. Regardless I don't want to put him in anykind of. This is my first child so I'm a little unsure when/age they transfer out of the crib so do I go buy a nondrop crib... or not buy it or what. Thanks in advance
