The manual over ride works, the clock turns but the on off tabs do not turn the lighs on or off. Tabs are in good shape what do you think the problem is.

In older motor driven timers, gears wear out and slip. The newer timers are all electrronic and you can set them to whatever timing you want, dawn to dusk, etc. I just installed a new Intermatic for a customer and we set it on at dusk and off 8 hrs later.
