Does osmosis always need an osmotic pressure to stop? Because if you have a case with a semi-permeable membrane around it and you place it in a container there is no pressure exerted on the case which may stop osmosis?

As your other two questions show, solvent flow stops for either of two reasons: pressure exerted and equality of concentration.
