Has spark and fuel, timing on point, won't run.

If the CEL comes on and goes off after 2 seconds, when the ignition switch is turned to ON (Position II), then the problems is likely distributor related. First, try replacing the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil. Yes, I understand you have spark; however, the ICM may not be sparking when the ECM wants it to. Second, if the problem persists, try installing the new ICM and coil in a new distributor housing (genuine Honda only), since the internal sensors (CKP, TDC, or CYL) may be damaged.
This link may help with replacing the ICM and coil:

Common problem on Hondas.
Before doing any of this, test all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter:

I'm assuming the battery is fully charged. Most auto parts stores will do this for free.

Sorry, I should have added more information if I didn't want a newbie generic answer. This is a real brain teaser, and not to toot my own horn.. but I don't know who the doctor goes to when he's sick.. lol So I am hoping that two heads are better than one. So here's the deal. I have a 2001 Honda CR-V 2WD automatic tranny, 130,000 miles on the clock. Was running sweet until last week, were it felt that it was running into a wall or rev limit at 4500rpms. The only CEL was on was cyl 1 misfire and general misfire. Changed the plugs "ngk", dealer wires, cap and rotor. Light was cleared, but still progressively drove worse with wide open throttle.. and wouldn't pass 4500 rpm.. dry rev in neutral or in gear. Thought the catalytic might have been clogged, so I unbolted the header pipe.. louder but same result. Thought it was a fuel problem, aka fuel cut, so I checked the fuel pressure and it was 38psi. Did a compression check.. 150-160 across the board. Double checked the timing, even though the belt was changed at 90,000 miles.. on point not a teeth off. I have fuel and I have spark, but now the car is sputtering around 500 rpm, and doesn't recognize the gas pedal. I changed the coil and ignitor, just to see if the coil was getting saturated.. same issue. Tried starter fluid, still not start and its like if the engine doesn't even respond to that. No CEL, have fuel and spark.. injector pulse with noid tester... still won't start! Then I checked for the resistance of the four sensors.. CYP, TDC,CKP, and the CSF on the crank, all within spec! I then checked the ecu, and found oil on only one plug 32P! I cleaned that out and checked the ecu. No oil inside and no bad capacitors, but I still got another ecu, same thing.. turn over.. no start. I have fuel and spark, I can fire these engines on the ground.. this one is kicking my ***, any help on what else could be a problem.. GLADLY APPRECIATED!
