Hi there, I was wondering if someone could help me. At the moment I'm studying computers but for the last 4-5 months I have been really interested in becoming an actor. Where I live there isn't many acting classes, I don't no what to do. How do I get into the business? I have no experience in acting and wondered if experience and qualifications needed.

Please someone help me as I beginning to get desperate!

Thanks

In all honesty, you should consider moving to a city that is known for supporting a large entertainment industry such as LA or Toronto.  Try visiting

Good luck and break a leg!

Find some local theatre and get involved. It's a lot about networking and learning how to home in your skills. Classes definitely help, beginning acting and then more advanced voice and body work. Good luck!

Consider getting an agent, they can help you with acting, scheduling and they can find castings and stuff for you. Hope this helped :)

You start with learning acting, then do some stage theatres and drama. Next prepare a good portfolio and include acting videos of yours. Compile those videos into one video profile/portfolio. Send it to the producers. You can make video portfolio by uploading your videos to the video sharing sites like Think Got Talent (http://www.thinkgottalent.com)

Hi there,

I'm a producer-director and I offer a side business of helping beginning to intermediate actors in auditioning
For roles, performing on camera and being remembered by directors for future roles.. It's important to learn
How to act before you audition for roles so just think about this.. Let me know if you'd like to learn more.
I truly like to help others.
