This movie involved a female from a rural, farm community, perhaps in Oklahoma or Kansas,graduating from high school, and then moving to Los Angeles, California to attend college at UCLA. She experiences the college and cultural distinctions there as being much different from where she is from, but adjusts to it. She develops a relationship with an older male student, who supervises where she lives, who has a unique personality. She brings her new boyfriend back to her family's house and farm, to which he is unfamiliar and unaccustomed. The movie pertains to how through a series of events, this girl's family members learn to accept him, and how he accepts them as well.
