My daughter has a baby who is now 1 month old, the babies father was violent because of drinking and has anger issues and she doesn't want to give me un-supervised visitation, however she is planning on supervised with her, his victim as the superviser, I told her she is setting precedents with the court by doing this. Am I wrong

What?

She doesn't "have" to give you any visitation at all, supervised or otherwise.

I don't understand - "she is planning on supervised with her, his victim as the supervisor."

What?

The Court sets precedent, not individuals.

I have no idea what you are asking.

I think she means that her daughter wants to let the father have visitation with said daughter supervising. She's upset that she, the grandmother, won't be allowed unsupervised visitation by her daughter.

As JudyKayTee has said, the court decides what each parent gets.
Grandparent rights are totally separate, depend on each state, and you may find them slow and difficult, if you can get them at all. Your best bet is to have a good relationship with your daughter.
