Nope as there is other processing involved, not just HD resolution.

No. You need a 3D television with a 3D source. The only type of 3D that you can watch without a 3D TV is the stereoscopic 3D. This is the kind that uses the shaded glasses.

So I can watch a 3D bluray movie on my television because my playstation 3 can read 3D movies.

Nope, your TV must be able to display/process a 3D picture.

As I said, and Curlyben has also pointed out, you need BOTH a 3D TV and a 3D source. So you have part of what you need (a Playstation 3). You would still need a 3D TV. Some 3D Blu-rays can be watched, but these are the kind that are not like the new technology that is out.
See the following for details:

This is the same type that has been used in comic books and some television shows. Most of these kind of 3D movies will come with the glasses in the case. This is one of the more confusing things out there with 3D.
This will work without a Blu-ray player (but the color and 3D accuracy is not the greatest):

This will require a 3D capable Blu-ray player and 3D capable TV:

You will need a 3D TV, 3D content, a device that can read the 3D content, also glasses that comes with the 3D Tv or you can buy 'em separately.
