When the chain broke the fan got stuck on high speed. So I turned of the electric at the box and pulled the fan wires apart being careful to cap each one so they did not touch. Stupid me didn't pay attention to which wires connected where. My friend changed the switch but had to leave before he could connect the wires.
There are more wires then I know what to do. How do they connect?
Here it goes:
To the fan motor: 2 black, 1 red, 1 blue, 1 white and another white that may be dirty or may have a black stripe down it.
There is a switch that changes the direction of the fan blade: 2 red, 2 brownish, 1 pink, 1 yellow
(Forgive my ignorance)
Black box with name Rubycon on it : 1 orange, 1 gray, 1 pink, 1 yellow, 1 purple
Pull switch- the zing ear ze 2082: 1 orange, 1 gray, 2 yellow, 1 purple and 2 black.

I missed some so when I pulled the wired apart so there are 2 sets of 3 wires still connected.
