So my period is 84 days late but the hpts are negative. I symptoms earlier... nausea, tiredness, cravings, and cranky. I have not been under any "new" stress, I am not on any medications or any of the other reasons as to why it is suggested that it could be late. The doctor does not seem to think I am and refuses to order a blood test. I am gaining weight - inexplicably. Does anyone know any other reasons that I could be this late if I am not pregnant?

Go to a planned parent hood or other free clinic and get a bloodtest. And find a new doctor lol.
Its very possible that you are 10-12 weeks pregnant. But it is also possible you are not.
I have skipped months at a time before, and I have had my period LAST months at a time before. Some women are just very irregular. It makes us infertle and sometimes causes moodswings due to the hormonal imbalance but otherwise its harmless.
But get a new doctor to see. This doctor already does not take you serously and you need to be checked out. No matter which way it goes, pregnant or not.

Thank you for your response Jenni. I am already looking into going to see another doctor because while I do want to be pregnant - it would be my first child, I am heading into 31 years old - I also know that there could be something really dangerous going on inside of me that's causing the stoppage of my periods (especially since I've been regular like clockwork for the past four years - which is ironic since I started college in 2007)lol lol lol lol. I'll let you know.

If you have been regular for most of your life, then I would say it is very possible you are either pregnant, or have a problem that a doctor needs to see. It could be many things. Poly cystic ovarian syndrom, cysts on your ovarys (which is different from PCOS, as its just a one time thing rather than a habitual thing) tumors, early onset of menopause, reproductive cancers. Many things.
I don't tell you these things to frighten you. But I do want to make sure you know how very important it is to see a doc about it. It could very well be nothing.
