I can't find my water well and I want to know roughly how far away from my foundation it is

It can be almost anywhere but most frequently is within 20' of the foundation. You have wires and pipes going out through your foundation, dig down or use a metal detector or power detector to follow these wires and pipes. There should be a well head or concrete ring with a lid to gain access. Where are you, have you checked with the local building department for a plat of survey?

Mine is about 50 ft. You should have a well cover with a pitless adapter. Look for a 6" round cylinder. With a cap on it and wires going down inside.

If you have a well, you probably also have a septic system. One thing you must check is whether your county has regulations as to how far removed from your septic system must be. If your county doesn't, you might want to find out what might be recommended anyway.

Your county building department has a map of your property. The builder had to show where he planned to put it to make sure it's location was OK
