I know its not the most clever idea, but me and my partner (both 18 ) are trying for a baby.
He finds it hard to ejaculate and about 7 days after my period we had sex, and he ejaculated inside me.. Does this definitley mean I'm pregnant? Also can you ovulate 7 days after your period? I remember before we had intercourse I had a white discharge from the opening of my vagina, I'm not sure when to get a test done! Any advice much appreciated.

I have a few things I need to say about your post. First, the fact that you said "I know its not the most clever idea", has me worried. If you know it's not a good idea, why are you doing it? What's the hurry?

Second, no, just because he ejaculated inside you doesn't mean you're pregnant. It takes the average couple up to 2 years to conceive, even when you're actively trying, charting ovulation, etc. etc.

As for when to test, wait until your period is at least 1 week late. If it's negative, wait a week or two, then re-test. If it's still negative see if your next period comes. If not, then I'd go to the doctor for a blood test.

I was 27, married, both of us had great jobs, and a house, when I got pregnant with my first child. It's not easy. It's even harder when you're young and don't have the maturity or the resources to care for a child. Again, I have to ask why you're doing this now. Why not wait until you're older?

I have to concur with Alty. Why are you trying to get pregnant if you know it is not such a clever idea? Is there a particular reason?

How long have you been with your partner? Does he have a good job with job security? Have you already setup a household?
