OK, so I had my mirena put in in July 2008, I bled for a while after insertion, but soon my period became lighter and lighter. The last period I had was December 24th 2009. Last week, I was nauseated 2 mornings in a row, and my ankles were ridiculously swollen (the last time they were swollen that bad was when I was pregnant with my little boy)I have also been urinated more frequently, and I have woken up with heartburn a couple mornings ( the only time I have ever had heartburn was when I was pregnant last time). My breast have been a little sensitive, but not as bad as they were when I was pregnant before. I have also had a sharp pain on the right side of my lower abdomen, and just some strange fluttering feelings in my stomach. Could my mind be playing tricks on me or COULD I REALLY BE PREGNANT with an IUD?

It is possible to get pregnant even with an IUD. No form of birth control is 100% effective. I would take a test to play it safe and even if it's negative talk to your doctor in case you have another medical issue that needs to be addressed.
