I need Help and or advice on being in a relationship and living with a man that I love who has three children. I have known him for 10 years and have lived with and helped support his children for 3 years while he was finishing college. His ex (not divirced yet) has been running around on him for years, going in and out of his life and in and out of jail for various reasons. I have been helping him all of this time and I'm getting depressed due to various household, parenting and relationship problems. Do I need to be specific at this time? Because that wolud taki some time. I need help, being a step (person) is so hard.
But I loove him.

Reggie,
He has the best of both worlds right now to be honest with you. A wife he cannot let go of (divorce) and a mother that his wife refuses to be (you). You are that crutch that he needs to help pull him through life and he does not have to totally committ himself to you. I know from the short amount of information that you love him, but if you are feeling depressed you have to see that your body is physically reacting to the strain this is putting on you mentally. At some point you have to tell yourself that enough is enough. You have invested too much time already in a relationship that is very disheartening to you. Have you talked to him about how you feel?

I totally agree with Trucker Girl here, but some more info on the situation would be helpful.

You never get involved with a married man. Ever. Even if they are separated and living at different residences. You do not get involved until the divorce papers are signed.

This is why. He can do whatever he wants, he's got your financial support and a parent to his children which it appears he isn't very concerned with being.
