I have an awful smell coming out of my kitchen sink on left side. Right side smells fine. I do not have a disposal. I've tried vinegar, soda, draino, bleach, and followed it all by boiling water. I even had a plumber out one time. He didn't know what to do. Help.

What is under each side? Is one side higher than the other? Is there one trap (curved pipe) or two?
