I borrowed money from a friend to pay for my child's dental bill. She called to the office to get a receipt for the payment and instead of a receipt they faxed her my child's dental records as to proceedures and charges on my account which is really none of her business and would prefer that she not know all of that information. All she wanted was the credit card receipt. In their policy under family and friends it states that they can send them information as long as they have my permission. Which they didn't. Do I have reason to make a complaint or file suit? Thanks

You have reason to make a complaint. As for filing suit - can you quantify the damages you have suffered from this release of information?

What she received was the receipt of the doctors visit. Did you tell the doctors office to give them a copy of the receipt or did you not tell them anything.
