Does anyone know of any services in Arizona that can help pay bills in emergency situations?

I owe 131 on my car insurance or it will be cancelled the 28th. Ive posted here before that my daughter is autistic. And I can't NOT have a vehicle for her apointments or any emergencys. If it was just a matter of wanting to have my car, I would gladly sell it and just take the bus. But her doctors are spread all the valley. Her neurologist is here in phoenix, but her study center is downtown in mesa. She has her psychologist in scottsdale. Her speech therepist is in queen creek. We could take the bus if we could but often bus rides are nightmares for her. (we tried before)

I was paying the bill before with student loans and grants. But I finished school 3 weeks ago. Which I generally consider a wonderful blessing except that I no longer have any way to pay my bills until I get a job which is prooving harder than I thought even with the career services the school provides. I do get state aid but it is only 150 a month, not nearly enough to cover everything.

I asked the DES office (welfare) and they gave me a pamphlet with numbers to call for help, but none of them help with this sort of thing. Only things like rent, food, electricity, and such. A car is a luxurie, and while I DO know that, and agree, its just not feasible for us :(

Thanks for listening. Any advice would be GREAT

Catholic Charities, Lutheran Social Services, United Way, area churches? Ask at the reference desk at the library - social services in the area? The county or township?

Be sure to report back.
