I had unprotected sex and 5 days later I had a period for 2 days and now I am pregnant. How is this possible.

I'm sorry if you were misinformed, but there are no ob/gyn's that are members of this site. You will get advice only from other lay people, like yourself.

Most likely what occurred is that your body was ready to shed the uterine lining just as the sperm was meeting the egg in the fallopian tube. Once they met, your pregnancy hormones began preparing your uterus for implantation after the uterine lining was shed (your period).

You see, it can take as long as 5 days for the sperm to reach the egg in the fallopian tube, then as long as another 5 days for the fertilized egg to travel down the tube and enter the uterus.

Thanks... I been lost.. because the doctors been trying to tell me I had unprotected sex after that first episode and I did not. And now I have a late due date.. They are calculating the 2 day period as a real period..

The due date might likely change once you get an ultrasound.

Another possibility could be that you may have become pregnant from "protected" sex and the "period" you experienced was not an actual period, but early pregnancy bleeding. Had you had protected sex in the weeks prior or was the unprotected the only sex you have had in a number of weeks?

As J_9 said, once you have an ultrasound done, you will likely get a better idea of just how far along the pregnancy is and dates can be adjusted accordingly if necessary.
