How old is this person and under what circumstances are they joining you in a van? (commuting, Field Trip etc.)

Your question is a bit vague. When you say he needed a note to ride in your car, was he a passenger? How old is he? How old are you? Was he driving the car? Are you both minors? Is he a convicted criminal, is that why this is in the crime forum?
What reason did he give for needing the note?
Was he riding in the van only one time, or is this a daily thing, like a carpool?
