View Full Version : Plumbing Waste Pipe through Footing?

I am adding a bedroom and bath to our house. Slab on grade construction, single pour, with 27" deep footings. It would be easier for me to take the waste pipe through the footing, rather than going under (I can tie into my other bathroom drain without digging up my driveway this way). I can find anything in the code that says if this is okay or not (building or plumbing). Do I need a "sleve" (pipe within pipe), or a flexible connector of some sort through the slab? I'm in California... Any help would be great. I'm an architect, and would feel much more comfortable if you could reference a second of the code.
Thanks again, sweet website!
