My 29in Whirlpool dryer will stop in the middle of the cycle. It won't work again until I pull on the control panel then it may or may not stay on. I thought maybe some wires were loose so I pulled the control panel and moved wires around but it didn't seem to help. I reattached the panel and pulled it towards me and pushed the start button and it started up. 5 seconds after I realease the control panel the dryer stopped. It seems that there maybe something in the back panel that is making contact or loose and by pulling on the control panel it corrects the problem but when I let go the problem persists. Any ideas?

If the control panel is a printed circuit board you have a cracked board or a loose solder connection. You may be able to fix this if this is the case. DrTom4444
