So I'm 16, have been having a normal period for about 2 or 3 years now, and something I never experienced before happened.

I've been getting brown spotting for about a week, going on 2 now, at the time of my normal period. I am not sexually active, and have never had intercourse before, but every question about this is from a girl who has had sex before and all the answers say at the normal time it could be a sign of pregnancy. But I'm still a virgin, so there's no way I could be pregnant.

I'm not so worried that it's brown, I've had brown blood at the beginning and end of my periods before, but rather that it's so light when my periods are usually heavy and has been going on for about 2 weeks now. I'd really like an answer as soon as possible please.

Brown spotting is normal & natural. No, its not necessarily related to pregnancy or any disease. Brown spotting is "old blood" left over from your previous period or trauma such as intercourse -which is not a worry for you :)

Being 16, even though you've had your period for a few years, still means that you have several years ahead of you with strange cycles. Your body is growing and changing constantly and each cycle will be different. As long as things are as you describe, you probably have nothing to worry about. If you're uncomfortable though, see your doctor just to be sure.
