I am new to this site, so bear with me. I am GCing my first house and have a quick question. I am building a slab house and the block walls are going up now. Do I have to put in stones first before the plumber starts work?

Thanks for any help.. Mark

Yes your piping should go down in a bed of gravel before the floor is poured. If you have a permit you will get an inspection so call the inspector. Ask when he needs to inspect and how much gravel is required by the codes in your area. Get friendly with him and ask his advice if you are new to this. The inspector can be your best friend or wosrt enemy

Agree with ballengerb1. Also, it is never a bad idea to go over things with the plumber to see what will make the job easiest and most cost effective for him. You need to be talking to all subs before and during all aspects of the build. Trust me, it will make the job go much smoother for everyone.
