Hi at the end of last year I had pneumonia, and while I was sick they discovered that I have a pulse of around 150bpm but this is only sometimes. I was also born with a chest wall deformity called pectus exavactum, which is where your chest wall caves inward causing your chest to appear with a dip in the centre. I also suffer from asthma, lately I have been having regular chest pain and sometimes tightness in the chest. It doesn't feel like my asthma playing up so the other day I went to the docters and he has referred me to a rhythm heart speciallist, I have done some research on pectus excavatum and it seems right that it could be causing the pain and tightness, some other symptons also include: low lung compacity (which I have), and lower tolerance in physical activity which I have also noticed recently. I told my docter that I think my pectus excavtum needs to be looked into but he is more worried about my pulse rate and doesn't care about my chest pain and other symptons. I have had echo's done and they all came back fine as well as a heart altrasound which came back fine and my blood pressure is all fine 2. so I don't think its heart related. So basically I'm asking what should I do?? And what do you think could be wrong with me? And has anyone got a pectus excavatum?
