Hello,

I have been on ciprleax for 6 months. I was prescribed it after I had my second child, suffering from postpartum depression and anxiety. I have been dieting for 1 year watching what I eat and exercise moderately. I have been finding it very heard to lose my last 8-10 lbs. Is it possible that this medication can have a factor to my weight being at a stand still. I actually feel a lot of water retention in my legs and fingers, they fell swollen. I am not on any other medication that would cause this. Will the weight drop once I finish this medication?? Or is there anything I can take to help with the water retention??

Many medications cause water retention in many people. Although you should show the swelling to your doctor for the final word, you might want to avoid taking diuretics if at all possible, and just be patient until you are off this med. The amount of or balance of hormones can lead to varying degrees of water retention too. (My mother, sister, and I have it around our ankles, and I never had children.)
