I remember owning a book about three friends who meet on the train on the way to college and it follows their lives. I'm pretty sure their names were wendy, charlotte, and sarah. Wendy came from an island somewhere where her family owned a hotel and I think her sister killed herself. Charlotte's mother was kind of crazy I think, and at some point in the book sarah's daughter falls in love with wendy's son and gets pregnant but it turns out that he's gay. I have searched every where for this book but cannot seem to find it and I can't remember what it was called or who it was by
