I have just come out of a very controlling 13 year relationship we have a 9 years old we shared a business that he now won't let me work in he has taken the car that I used every day to take our daughter to school he has also taken all the money and some household items he thinks that everything that was purchased during the 13 years is his and since leaving 5 weeks ago I have received £70 I am forced to claim benefits as he took all the money today he sold the car and told me by text he is in his mums which is a 2 min walk to work and has made me walk 4 to 5 miles every day for the school run he now wants what little is left in the house i.e. the TV,dining table and chairs wardrobes fridge hhe has taken the dryer and the TV he had bought me last year for xmas what are my rights? For one thing we need to know if you were married or not. Another thing we need to know is what state or country your living in as the laws vary by location.

I think you will find this link helpful. The one that applies to you is cohabitation.
