Hi,

I have a 1098 T form and I am filling up 1040A ( arrived in US Aug 05). I have $XXXX on box 2. Can I do anything with this?

Educator expenses are for teachers who are teaching in high school. Middle school or elementary school, or special education. To claim that deduction, you must file Form 1040.

Assuming you are a U.S. resident, the 1098-T allows you to claim either an education deduction or an education credit for the amount in Box #2.
